The X3 Digital is a sturdy, no-frills, foot-controlled motor that offers a number of innovations, including best-in-class steering performance and a large diameter corrosion-resistant shaft with construction that provides greater impact protection and is backed by a lifetime factory warranty. The X3 55 SW Hand Control includes a new, aircraft-grade, extruded aluminum mounting bracket built tough to minimize flex and deliver precision control under high-thrust.

How It's Unique:

The X3 Digital series is a step-up from the Freshwater series and the regular X3 in that it now features variable control. The X3 55SW Digital Hand Control is only available with 55 lbs of thrust.

Mounting Details:

This motor is bolted directly to the bow of the boat using the included mounting hardware, and requires drilling into the boat for installation. Ideally, it's best to have access to the underside of the mounting platform in order to secure and fasten the bolting hardware. However, if accessing the underside is impossible you can use no access bolts to secure the motor from the top. For more information see our compatibility and mounting guides.

X3 Digital 55 Hand Control can be wired directly to the batteries, and can also be used in conjunction with a plug and receptacle for a cleaner, more professional installation that's easy to remove. To protect your motor from damage, a circuit breaker is also recommended but is not required for installation.

Stow and Deploy Method:

The X3 series motors features a new aircraft-grade extruded aluminum mount. When the trolling motor is not in use, the motor can be manually removed from the water and naturally rotates into a flat position to convenient stow on the deck. When ready for use, simply slide the motor head and shaft forward, and it effortlessly swings back down into the water.
